ABOUT US
Market 535 is proudly female-owned and family-operated, created with a heart for Dayton, Texas — the town where we’ve raised our family and built our businesses. The name itself is rooted in that pride, with “535” taken from our zip code, 77535, as a reminder that this market is deeply connected to the community it serves.
Market 535 began as a shared dream to create a place where small businesses could grow, and neighbors could connect. Our journey started right here in Dayton with our first business, The Broken Plank, creating custom wood-printed décor and gifts. Over the past decade, we’ve been vendors at everything from charming town square events to major shows like the Houston Rodeo — and those experiences shaped the way we run our market today.
The Broken Plank continues to thrive and is proudly present at every Market 535 event. Staying active as vendors ourselves keeps us connected to the needs, challenges, and victories of our vendor community — and drives us to create markets that are welcoming, organized, and focused on helping small businesses succeed.
Market 535 is owned and driven by Dayton native Sherisa Hoy and supported by her husband Mike Hoy and sons Johnny Hoy and Michael Hoy III, with the help of their entire family — including daughter-in-law Kylie Hoy, who has been a big part of this journey. Together, we pour our hearts into every detail, from planning and setup to making sure every vendor feels supported and every shopper feels at home.
Market 535 is more than a vendor market — it’s a gathering place where families can spend the day, vendors can share their passion, and Dayton can celebrate everything that makes our hometown special.
