Big Dreams Deserve a Place to Start 🌟💛

In 2022, Market 535 started our Young Entrepreneurs Program with a simple idea: if a kid has the courage to create something, put a price on it and proudly stand behind a table to sell it, we want to give them a place to do it.

Since then, we’ve continued making space at our events for young entrepreneurs to experience what it’s like to own and operate their own small business in a real market environment.

Market 535 makes sure our Young Entrepreneurs have a complimentary booth space at our events. We also love teaming up with local businesses and community organizations who want to join us in supporting these kiddos and helping make their little business dreams possible.

But this program is about so much more than a free space.

It’s about watching a young entrepreneur proudly explain what they made to a shopper. It’s making that first sale, counting their earnings at the end of the day and realizing that someone chose to spend their money on something they created. It’s learning how to talk to customers, display products, make change, answer questions and experience all the little things that come with running a business.

Most importantly, it’s giving them the opportunity to say, “I did this.”

Our shoppers are a huge part of making that experience special. Every time someone stops at one of their booths, asks about their business, offers a few encouraging words or makes a purchase, they’re showing a young entrepreneur that their hard work and ideas have value.

Our goal has remained simple since 2022: give young entrepreneurs a place to learn, grow, sell their products, connect with real shoppers and discover just how far a big idea can go.
